There aren’t many things better than not having to cook your own food. And lately, Annapolis has been on a roll with new restaurant openings. We’re highlighting five new spots to try, but they’re just a small sample of what’s already opened (and what’s still to come). With the weather warming up, it’s the perfect excuse to grab a table somewhere new.
Augie’s Mussel House
The long-anticipated wait for this restaurant is finally over—Augie’s has officially opened in the Annapolis Town Center. The menu features a full page dedicated to mussels and clams, with 11 different variations to choose from. From there, you can go for simple starters like nachos and wings or try something a little different, like a baked potato, tuna tartare, or egg rolls. Augie’s also offers four soups and four salads. For your main course, choose from eight entrées or 12 sandwiches, with standouts like jambalaya pasta and a blackened salmon sandwich. Wrap things up with a sweet treat like a freshly baked cookie, milkshake, warm apple tart, or flourless chocolate cake.
Paris Baguette
Located on Riva Road, Paris Baguette is a bakery and café “where smiles are served daily.” The menu features a rotating selection of seasonal cakes, sweets, savory items, and drinks. Let’s talk cake—you can choose from 16 options, from classics like red velvet to more unique picks like blueberry yogurt cake, chocolate mousse, salted caramel layer cake, and cappuccino cake. Just want a little treat? You can order cake by the slice, too. Along with croissants, French pastries, and other savory options, the menu also includes donuts, sandwiches, salads, wraps, and more.
Peter Chang
Built around a vision of bringing people together through authentic Chinese cuisine, Peter Chang offers both classic dishes and modern takes, so there’s something for everyone. One standout is the Chinese tapas section, perfect for trying a variety of small bites and flavors. You’ll also find favorites like bao buns, dumplings, and soups. Entrées are centered around a protein and served with rice or noodles, and there are vegetarian options as well. Hours vary by day: Monday through Thursday offers lunch from 11 AM to 3 PM and dinner from 4:30 to 9 PM; Friday and Saturday run from 11 AM to 10 PM; and Sunday is 11 AM to 9 PM
Positano
Adding to the growing dining scene in West Annapolis, Positano brings a modern Italian menu to the table. It opens at 11 AM daily, closing at 10 PM Sunday through Thursday and 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. Happy hour runs from 3 to 6 PM on weekdays and features discounted house wine, draft beer, craft cocktails, and select menu items. The menu includes classic Italian starters like burrata, charcuterie, and meatballs, along with six salads and two soups. Craving pizza? There are 11 options to choose from. The rest of the menu features 10 pasta dishes, seven entrées, three gnocchi options, and a small kids menu. Save room for dessert—tiramisu, crème brûlée, chocolate layer cake, and New York-style cheesecake.
The Admiral’s Cup
This second location of the popular Fell’s Point spot is now open on Dock Street. Hours run from 4 PM to midnight Monday through Thursday and noon to 1 AM Friday through Sunday. The Admiral’s Cup also features live music seven days a week on the Cup’s Stage. On the food side, you’ll find classics like oysters, crab dip, and crab balls, plus two soups, three salads, nine sandwiches, and eight flavors of wings.
With so many new spots opening up, there’s really only one question: where are you heading first?
