From hidden neighborhood hills to the local parks everyone raves about, there’s no better way to embrace winter than flying down a fresh blanket of snow. We’ve rounded up the best sledding spots around town for all ages, so all that’s left to do is bundle up and pick your hill.

- Bay Hills Golf Course in Arnold
- Chartwell Country Club, most notably the hole by St. Andrews Road and St. Andrews Close in Severna Park
- Folger McKinsey Elementary School’s hill in Severna Park
- Fort Smallwood Elementary School in Pasadena
- Kinder Farm Park, just off Kinder Road in Severna Park
- Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts: the hill is located behind the hall and is a smaller size, in Annapolis
- Naval Academy Golf Course in Annapolis
- Quiet Waters Park, options for both sledding and ice skating, in Annapolis
- The back side of Center for Applied Technologies North (CAT North), just off Stevenson Road in Severn
- The hills behind Anne Arundel Community College, by parking lots B and C in Arnold
- West Avenue Bay, between Curtis Bay and Brooklyn Park
- Venturing around your own neighborhood, you never know what you may find!
- A bit further, but Federal Hill in Baltimore is another great option
Larger Resorts (Tubing)
- Liberty Mountain Resort in Fairfield, PA. Tickets are valid for two-hour timeslots and cost $48 per person, with a minimum height requirement of 42 inches and can be bought online.
- Roundtop Mountain Resort in York County, PA. With similar rules and restrictions as Liberty, this mountain’s tickets are slightly cheaper at $42 per person.
- Snow Riders in Harpers Ferry, WV. Here, riders only need to be a minimum height of 36 inches, with prices ranging from $30 to $50 and multiple time options available.
- Whitetail Resort in Franklin County, Pa. Prices and sizing requirements are the same as Liberty.
- Wisp Resort in McHenry, MD. Four-hour tubing options are available on Wednesdays and Thursdays, with prices ranging from $25 to $40. Saturday and Sunday tubing comes in two-hour slots for the price of $46.50. Riders must be a minimum height of 42 inches.
