Easter brunch is always a tradition for many families, especially if you just can’t muster all the production of an at-home sit-down Easter dinner, or you’re not up for going to one of the other events. Many Annapolis restaurants offer Easter brunch. Area favorites include: Blackwall Hitch and Miss Shirley’s Café, which are two popular choices that fill up fast. If brunch is on your list, make reservations early.

About Ricky Hartford

Ricky Hartford is fueled by cold brew, Celtics highlights, pop culture, and a perfectly placed Oxford comma. By day, he works in marketing and communications at Anne Arundel Community College, where he helps shape the college’s voice through content and storytelling. With over a decade of experience and a Master of Science in Strategic Communications, he’s helped nonprofits and local publications sound sharper, look better, and connect more clearly with their audiences. When he’s not working, he’s probably at the movies, on the basketball court, planning his next vacation, or convincing someone (anyone) to talk about the latest trashy reality show. Annapolis is his happy place, especially if it involves a drink downtown and hanging out by the water.

Every September, new students and faculty arrive by boat for their first day at The Gunston School, stepping onto their docks to a shoreline lined with cheering peers, parents, and teachers. After stepping ashore, signing the Honor Code, and walking up the hill through a welcoming line of fist bumps and high fives, they officially become part of the Gunston family.

That deep sense of community and connection sets the foundation for everything they do—and they invite your family to experience it firsthand!

Join Them for a Fall Open House on Sunday, October 18. Tour their waterfront campus, meet students and faculty, explore their academic and leadership programs, and see how their vibrant community helps students thrive.
