10 Tips to Eliminate Stress & Fatigue This Year!
Did you end 2023 by running yourself ragged, in body and mind? Do you ever feel like you’re “running in place” or just can’t catch up? Whether your goal for 2024 is to prevent burn-out or to come back from it, the remedies are the same. We sat down with Katie Ames Lucas, Herbalist, Health & Wellness Advisor, and General Manager of Euphoric Herbals Apothecary, to get down to the nitty gritty of supporting your health through natural products.
It’s easy to get lost in all the buzz around self care lately, but when discussing burn-out specifically, our main focus should be on supporting the adrenal glands. These glands are located on top of the kidneys and produce hormones that help regulate stress, mood, energy, immunity, and other essential functions. When we’re feeling overworked or chronically tired, usually it means our bodies are producing too much cortisol. This affects other areas of the brain and body, causing our nervous system to go into a sympathetic state, otherwise known as “fight or flight”.
Getting our system back to a parasympathetic state (“rest and digest”) is crucial when making a comeback after burn-out. Katie’s wealth of knowledge about natural and healthy living expands beyond this topic alone (next time you’re at Euphoric, just ask!), but for now, we compiled a list of the top 10 healthy adrenal gland habits and product recommendations to get revitalized and make a comeback from chronic stress and fatigue in 2024.
