The team at Labbe Family Orthodontics has just grown by one, but Dr. Linda Powers was already a member of the family.
“Dr. Powers is no stranger to us, as she had her orthodontic treatment with Dr. Labbe,” says Nikki Hutchison, regional marketing specialist for Labbe Orthodontics. “Dr. Powers is thrilled to be returning ‘home‘ to spread smiles in her community each day.”
Born and raised in Maryland, Dr. Powers was surrounded by the world of teeth throughout her childhood—her father is a dentist. After her own positive experiences at Labbe Orthodontics, Dr. Powers felt drawn to the field—and the practice.
Dr. Powers graduated from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, where she was recognized as valedictorian and served as class president during her tenure. Following the receipt of her dental degree, she pursued advanced dental training in a General Practice Residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She then pursued further training to receive her Master of Science in Dentistry and specialty certificate in orthodontics at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
In her spare time, Dr. Powers likes to travel and bake—when you come in for your next appointment, ask her to share her recipe for her famous banana bread!
Labbe Orthodontics has four office locations throughout Maryland, including Annapolis, Bowie, Crofton and Greenbelt. The practice has been serving the community since 1977. In 1990, Dr. Stephen Labbe was selected to head the practice.
