Maryland Renaissance Festival

August 27, 2024 by Piper Langenfeld

Spend a day at Revel Grove and immerse yourself in the 16th century! The Renaissance Festival will be in Maryland from August 24 to October 20. Stroll through the forest-like grounds and buy delicious food (like a whole turkey leg!). There will be vendors upon vendors to shop from, selling art, clothes, jewelry, and more made by hand!

The Maryland Renaissance Festival is located in Crownsville, just outside of Annapolis. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy the day with family or friends and see live theater and performances. There are also games for the kids, and a maze to hide in!

Some of the weekends are themed, and you can check those dates out here! And no worries if you don’t have a costume, you can always rent one as soon as you arrive.

Pro-tips:

  • Bring cash! Many of the vendors do not accept card.
  • Have an early or late lunch. The lines get lengthy quick, especially for the most popular meals and desserts!
  • Each person can only bring in one bottle of water, and it must be sealed by the manufacturer, but snacks are permitted inside the gates. Keeping some non-meltable food on hand is a good way to last through that lunch rush.
  • Props are great, but weapons are not allowed, real or fake!
  • Leave your pets at home! Only service animals are allowed within the gates.

Don’t miss out on the Renaissance Festival and get your tickets here! They always sell out fast, so don’t wait!
