Have you been to The Social in Severna Park? We love this neighborhood gem for its innovative comfort food, fun ambiance, and of course– stellar cocktails.
This is our go-to spot for a date night or even a post-date nightcap; we usually choose to sit at the bar and it’s always a great time. The Social’s bartenders are a charming bunch- knowledgeable, funny, and attentive. They are always willing to share info about the latest drink trends and ingredients, so we asked Director of Beverage/Owner Aaron Hock to share a batch cocktail recipe that would be easy to make at home and adaptable for different types of holiday guests. Thanks, Aaron, for introducing us to the Blanca Navidad.
Blanca Navidad
This is a fun tequila cocktail for the holidays. The cranberry and rosemary sprig garnish will fit right in with your holiday decor.
2 oz Tequila (blanco or silver)
1.5 oz White Cranberry Juice
1 oz Fresh Lime Juice (Strained)
3/4 oz Triple Sec
Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and strain back out in a glass with new ice. Garnish with fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig.
Non-alcoholic version: For a fun punch or mocktail, omit the tequila and triple sec, and add your choice of the following: coconut cream, coconut water, soda water, lemon-lime soda, or ginger ale.
Batch cocktail: You could also make a large format punch for lots of guests.
1 750ml bottle of blanco tequila
2 ⅓ cups white cranberry juice
1 ⅔ cups fresh strained lime juice
1 ¼ cups triple sec
Dump all ingredients into a large drink dispenser. Mix with a large spoon or whisk. Garnish individual glasses with a few fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig. Serve with ice.
