This Thanksgiving, let someone else take care of the shopping, the cooking and—most importantly—the dishes. The Annapolis area has plenty to offer on turkey day…and not just turkey! We have a round-up of restaurants that will leave your family feeling full and festive.
Whether you prefer a modest price point that lets you bring all the cousins, or you’re eager to treat yourself to a fancy meal, we’ve got options for you.
Rams Head Tavern

Rams Head Tavern in Annapolis could be your family’s newest Thanksgiving tradition. Their autumnally themed courses include either a cup of butternut squash bisque or a small salad, followed by turkey with cranberry sauce, a dinner roll, and served with stuffing, green bean almondine, candied yams and mashed potatoes. For dessert you can treat yourself to a decadent molten lava pumpkin cake to warm yourself up before heading out into the chilly fall evening.
Their dinner to-go will be ready for you to pick up on November 27 by noon…but you’ll need to place your order by Monday, November 24, so set your reminders now!
Blackwall Barn and Lodge

The Blackwall Barn and Lodge in Gambrills has the same buffet-style menu as its sister restaurant, Blackwall Hitch. But at the Barn you’ll find a separate seafood station with salmon, oysters on the half shell, and poached Old Bay shrimp.
Their Thanksgiving To-Go options let you choose a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, with either turkey or ham and includes dinner rolls, whipped potatoes, green beans, stuffing, cranberry sauce and apple pie. You can carry out for two or four people, and even add on more sides and some of their signature wines and bourbon.

Over in Eastport, Blackwall Hitch has a line-up of fall foods to celebrate their local, seasonal ingredients. You can start with either a butternut squash soup or harvest salad (or both!). But you’ll want to save room because their main course is a carving station of turkey, salmon, ham, and prime rib. There’s plenty of sides to choose from and dessert is included on the menu, so come hungry.
Carrol’s Creek Café

For a seafood-forward Thanksgiving meal, head over to Eastport’s Carrol’s Creek Café. Locals know this is much more than a café, with a fine dining experience and waterfront views on Spa Creek. The prix fixe menu allows you to choose one appetizer, one entrée and one dessert. The prices are based on the entrée and range from a $51 Mediterranean stir fry to a $76 rack of New Zealand lamb. The jumbo lump crab cakes are market price and the turkey dinner is $60.
They are a proudly tree nut-free and peanut-free facility. For those with allergies, you can dine confidently and safely. For parents who may want to pack a snack for their little ones, please keep in mind that outside food is not permitted.
Double T Diner

If your idea of Thanksgiving means comfortable clothes to accommodate a full belly, the Double T Diner’s annual Thanksgiving dinner will provide a casual atmosphere with plenty of food options. In typical diner fashion, there’s an extensive menu including ham, pork, fish, shellfish, chicken, and beef. There’s a lot to be thankful for here! But with no reservations, and the diner starting to get busy around 12:30 pm, maybe head over earlier to get settled in for a big day of big eats.
Latitude 38°

Head down to Latitude 38° at City Dock for a Thanksgiving buffet. Your loved ones can enjoy the views of Ego Alley and activity on the water while they dine. Have a bit of everything with carved turkey, ham, sirloin, and maple salmon. There are plenty of sides and fixings included, with a special seafood buffet to boot. If you want your Thanksgiving table to have oysters Rockefeller or a three cheese crab dip, Latitude 38° will be the place for you.
Libbey’s Coastal Kitchen and Cocktails

Across the bridge, Libbey’s Coastal Kitchen and Cocktails will give you an Eastern Shore experience on the water. They offer a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, but patrons have the choice of an Eastern Shore Thanksgiving that includes ham and fried oysters. The menu items are individually priced out, but entrees range from $33 to $52. And you can’t go to Libbey’s without trying one of their cocktails. On their Thanksgiving menu they’ve got a cranberry sangria, a pumpkin pie martini, and a maple bourbon cider.
Middleton Tavern

At Middleton Tavern, they will be serving up a traditional Thanksgiving feast with a helping of turkey or ham, candied yams or mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, peas with mushrooms, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and giblet gravy. The feast also includes your choice of soup or salad and a choice of pie. This local favorite will also be serving their regular menu. Call ahead to make your reservation.
Rod ‘n’ Reel Restaurant

At the Rod ‘n’ Reel Restaurant in Chesapeake Beach, their Thanksgiving buffet will include everything from breakfast to dessert. This is a great option if your family wants a morning reservation. If so, you can start with their made-to-order eggs, smoked salmon bar, or continental offerings. If you would rather go for the lunch hour or dinner, you can have some turkey or prime rib along with your Thanksgiving fixings. But no matter what time you decide to get there, the whole buffet is yours for the taking.
The Rod ‘n’ Reel Restaurant has been undergoing renovations, but they will be open in time for Thanksgiving.
Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse

The Thanksgiving dinner at Ruth’s Chris includes one of three starter options, followed by turkey, one side option, and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. The rest of their menu is available, as well, if you’d prefer one of their famously delicious steaks.
For carry out, they have holiday sides to pre-order for your Thanksgiving gathering. Additionally, for a family of four, their Take Home Package lets you bring all four courses to the comfort of your home (without the last-minute grocery store trip.)
Severn Inn

Severn Inn’s Thanksgiving menu is a higher price, but with the extra cost comes a buffet fit for a king. They have a broad selection of appetizers, entrees, side dishes, and desserts…even a raw bar! All with a gorgeous view of the Naval Academy bridge over the Severn River.
With any of these local eats, you can spend less time worrying if you made enough sides and pies, and more time feeling grateful for family and friends.
