It’s finally summer break! Does everyone have their summer reading lists? (If not, just head to the library and look for the summer reading shelves.) Well, we found some programs and businesses that will give your kids free stuff for reading. So whether or not they’re big readers, give them an incentive with one of these programs:
- Anne Arundel County Public Library is hosting Summer @ Your Library for kids, teens, and adults:
- For kids: Earn two prizes from your AACPL library branch with Summer @ Your Library. Make a reading goal. Then, after 15 and 30 days, your kids can earn a prize!
- For teens: Teens can participate in the Choose Your Own Adventure challenge for a chance to win a Nintendo Switch.
- For adults: Fill out your bingo card for a chance to win four Southwest Airlines tickets!
- Earn a free book from Barnes & Noble. Pick up a bracket at your local store, choose eight books to read (from anywhere, not just from B&N), collect stickers, then earn a free book from the store’s reading list.
- Get 10 free Play Points at Chuck E. Cheese. Set a reading goal and track it each day for two weeks. Then head to Chuck E. Cheese to redeem for Play Points.
- Get a free Bundtlet from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Their Books ‘n’ Bundts program has kids track their reading to earn cake! Visit a location near you for more info.
- Earn a free, one-topping, personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut. Kids can join the BOOK IT! program to earn a free pizza every month.
