- Shots Fired Into Annapolis Home on Parole Street
Annapolis Police are investigating after gunfire damaged a home on Parole Street early Wednesday morning. Officers were called to the unit block of Parole Street around 12:19 a.m. on June 3 for reports of shots fired and destruction of property, and no injuries were reported.
- Man Critically Injured in Annapolis Garage Explosion
An adult man was critically injured after an explosion inside a detached garage near Annapolis. Anne Arundel County firefighters responded to the 3000 block of Friends Road, where officials said the explosion involved substances inside the garage and was not gas-related. The cause remains under investigation.
4. Annapolis Man Convicted in Private Jet Fraud Scheme
A federal jury convicted 43-year-old Patrick Britton-Harr of Annapolis on six counts of wire fraud tied to the now-defunct, Annapolis-based AeroVanti, a private jet club prosecutors said defrauded customers out of millions. Prosecutors said members paid about $15 million toward aircraft purchases, but the money was instead used for personal expenses.
5. Anne Arundel Breweries Launch America250 Revolutionary Beers
Several Anne Arundel County breweries are celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with limited-edition beers inspired by colonial recipes, Maryland ingredients, and Revolutionary history. The America250 beer series includes releases from Old Barn Brewery, Crooked Crab, Forward Brewing, Pherm Brewing, and Chesepiooc Real Ale Brewery.
