No Tricks, All Treats at Annapolis Trunk or Treat Events

October 8, 2026 by Elizabeth Krischer

Halloween might only be one night a year, but it’s not the only time for your kids to wear costumes and score some candy. There are lots of events happening in and around Annapolis where your family can get the most out of the spooky season. But instead of going door-to-door, they’ll get to go car-to-car.

A Trunk or Treat experience involves families, businesses, and organizations taking over a parking lot, opening up their decorated trunks, and handing out treats. This is a great option for families who may not have a trick-or-treat-friendly neighborhood or who want to spend time with their community.

Whatever your motive, we’ve got lots of local spots where you can get candy out of trunks, tractors, trucks, and more.

Know Before You Go

Here are some things you want to make sure to bring before you leave to see what trunks have to offer:

  • Costumes—Dress your best!
  • Lights—If it’s nighttime, make sure to bring flashlights, glow sticks, and reflector tape for you and your kiddos.
  • Bags—You can’t forget your candy carriers!

Anne Arundel County Animal Services Howl-O-Ween Party

You might get something more than just candy at this trunk or treat. Adoptable animals will join local officers at the Trick-or-Treat Trail so families can grab some candy and meet some potential pets. Just don’t be surprised if your kids talk you into bringing home a new friend!

Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office 2nd Annual Car Show and 4th Annual Trunk or Treat

This event is doing the most—it’s a competition, a fundraiser, and a fun Halloween-fest. Raising money to provide training and equipment for the Sheriff’s office, it’s still free for families who want to grab some sweets. And for kids who are present, there are free coats!
