Your weekly dose of some cool food and dining finds around town

New York-Style Pizzas in Annapolis, A Wicked Good 5-Course Wine Dinner, “Let’s Meet” Inaugural Kick-Off, and Kids Eat Free All Day Every Day

Have a suggestion? We’d love to hear from you – submit it HERE!

  • Pizza, pizza!  Discover authentic, old-world flavors at Pasticcio Fresh Italian Kitchen, a fast-casual restaurant that uses locally sourced ingredients to make its food. Chef and owner, Antonio Capuano, grew up in Naples and studied culinary arts in Italy. Many of Pasticcio’s recipes have been in his family for generations. They make many items by hand, like pastas, calzones, and desserts. Pasticcio is known for its New York-style pizzas. Favorites include the Bee Sting (extra cheese, pepperoni cups, and hot honey), Pasticcio Special (mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, prosciutto, arugula, and shaved parmesan), and Crab Dip Pizza (mozzarella, crab dip mix, and Old Bay). If you are craving dessert, try their homemade cannoli!
  • Tomorrow there are two unique events in Anne Arundel County!
    • On theme for October, Skipper’s Pier is hosting a five-course Wicked Wine Dinner on Thursday, October 24 at 6:00 pm. Snag a reservation today to enjoy spooky food and drinks. On the menu is a “Boo”ratta Flatbread (hot honey butternut, fig, caramelized onions, burrata, crispy prosciutto, roasted pumpkin seeds, blood orange, arugula, and sage and thyme oil) served with a Poison Menage a Trois Prosecco; Marie Laveau’s Lobster Bisque (creamy pumpkin and lobster bisque, voodoo lobster, dill Havarti grilled cheese, roasted mini pumpkin, and crispy creepy leeks) served with Poison Menage a Trois, Gold Chardonnay; Salem Witch Salmon (black salted salmon, apricot butter, smoked gouda risotto cake, witchy herbed fall beets and carrots, and a spell bound raspberry Pinot sauce) served with Poison Menage a Trois, Lucious Pinot Noir; Vampire Braciole (Italian marinate flak roulette, Sicilian provolone, lamb Bolognese, beetle juice bowties, blackberry bat balsamic, and parmesan crisp) served with Poison Menage a Trois, Midnight Red Blend; and Bloody Good Cheesecake (Bourbon Barrel vanilla bean cheesecake, decadent chocolate mousse, Oreo crust, chocolate-dipped Biscoff, and hazelnuts) served with a Poison Kettle One Espresso Martini.
    • Looking to find “your people”? Join Annapolis Market House on Thursday, October 24 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm for the inaugural kick-off for “Let’s Meet.” “Let’s Meet” consists of a group of individuals coming together monthly for a social event and community service event. This is an opportunity to make new friends, network, make a difference, and maybe find that special someone. Whether you’re new to the area or a longtime resident, Let’s Meet Annapolis is the perfect event to come together and celebrate all that our city has to offer. Tickets are $12.51 and include free appetizers, live music, food and drink specials, and door prizes.
  • Kids Eat Free, on any day that ends in “Y”!  Yes, that means every day of the week! Now at Noodles & Company, kids eat free with the purchase of any regular entrée. All day, seven days a week. Choose from any Kids Meal, like Spaghetti and Meatballs, Kids Wisconsin Mac and Cheese, Buttered Noodles, or Grilled Chicken Breast with Marinara. All kids’ meals come with a side and drink.
    • Available online (use code: KIDSEATFREE) and in store!
