- Have you ever driven down West Street and spotted a sign for Brianna’s Cakes and Dulcería? Inside this unassuming house, there are tons and tons of Mexican candies and sweets—3 rooms to be exact. There are also toys, piñatas, teas, and household items. Pick up some Bubu Lubus (strawberry and chocolate candy bar), chicharrones de harina (aka duritos or fried wheat wheel chips), Pulparindo (tamarind pulp candy), and a bottle of orange Jarritos soda! The address is 1994 West Street, Annapolis, MD 21401.
- Quick Tip: There’s free parking in the back.
- Bourbon, beer, and provisions – are three words that best describe Dry 85 in downtown Annapolis. Join Dry 85 as they celebrate their 10-year anniversary on Tuesday, March 5 from 11 a.m.-close. Featuring $10 prohibition cocktails, giveaways, free Rebel Bourbon, Dry 85 private barrel tastings, and discount retail bottle pricing.
- If you’re grabbing drinks with friends, you might as well “give back” while doing so. Vida Taco Bar in Severna Park has dedicated Saturday evenings in January through March for local women to guest bartend and raise funds for their nonprofit of choice. Head to Vida on Saturday, March 2 from 8-11 p.m. to raise funds to support the Junior League of Annapolis (JLA). Lindsay Kahler Robinson, JLA’s Community Impact Director, will be guest bartending!
- Mark your calendars! Kavern in Pasadena will be opening for the season tomorrow, Thursday, February 22. Satisfy your sweet tooth with tons of snowball syrup flavors to choose from, plus Turkey Hill soft serve, smash mugs, hand-dipped ice cream, ice cream cookie sandwiches, pies, nutty buddies, and more! Last season, their Oreo smash mugs were a fan favorite.
- Quick tip: Operating hours are 12-8 p.m.
- Any Trader Joe’s fans here? Trader Joe’s Fearless Flyer released earlier this month, and it’s looking dee-lish! Seasonal highlights include: sumo citrus mandarins (giant, sweet, juicy citrus fruit grown in California’s San Joaquin Valley), raspberry mousse cakes (moist vanilla cake, silky raspberry-flavored mousse, and a sweet pink confectionary coating; shaped like adorable little raspberries, complete with decorative green “leaves”), and black garlic cream cheese (tangy cream cheese flecked with savory, fermented black garlic throughout, bolstered by dried garlic and roasted garlic powder).
