  1. Bubbkoo’s Manager Stabbed by Employee

Anne Arundel County Police say a manager at the newly opened restaurant, Bubbakoo’s Burritos in Edgewater, was stabbed by a 29-year-old employee during an attack last week, sending the 43-year-old victim to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and leading to the worker’s arrest on first-degree assault and related charges. The suspect allegedly fled the burrito shop on Mitchells Chance Road before officers tracked him down and took him into custody; investigators have not yet released a motive for the Edgewater restaurant stabbing.

Investigators say the double homicide, tied to the couple’s home-based construction business, appears to be a targeted, isolated incident, with the suspect facing two counts of first-degree murder and additional charges stemming from the chase and struggle with officers.

Scenic Rivers Land Trust has secured a permanent conservation easement protecting 123.1 acres at Mas Que Farm in Annapolis, preserving one of the city’s largest contiguous forests, along with wetlands, streams, productive farmland, and a site recognized by the Maryland Historical Trust. The agreement, granted by Katherine Properties LLC near the planned Village at Providence Point community, safeguards high-value habitat in the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area and demonstrates how land conservation, smart growth, and “no net loss” replanting can work together in Annapolis.

Navy Athletics and Under Armour have unveiled the 2025 Army–Navy Game uniform honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States Navy, drawing inspiration from the USS Constitution, the original six frigates, and early naval history. Featuring a historically grounded color palette—Washed Navy, Stone, Nautical Navy, and Heritage Red—plus copper details that reference the ship’s copper-clad hull and mast coins, the uniform tells a cohesive Old Ironsides story when Navy faces Army on December 13 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore
