County officials say the site’s location near the Cromwell Light Rail Station and the B&A Trail makes it a strong fit for transit-oriented redevelopment in Glen Burnie.

A shooting at Arundel Mills Mall on March 29 left one person injured and led to a police pursuit that ended with 3 people taken into custody after a crash on I-695 in Baltimore County. Police said the incident began near Burlington Coat Factory when a man reported being attacked by a group, and during a struggle over a firearm, one of the assailants was shot in the wrist. The mall was temporarily locked down and evacuated before later reopening, and Anne Arundel County Police said the investigation remains active.
