The Life and Legacy of Anne Catharine Hoof Green

Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of colonial printer, Anne Catharine Hoof Green.

Come along on this special walking tour as we retrace Mrs. Green’s footsteps through the city of Annapolis and honor her legacy on the 250th anniversary of her death. Listen as living historians discuss her influence as printer of the Maryland Gazette and learn more about funerary practices of the past.

Stops include outside the Maryland State House, a peek inside the privately owned Jonas and Anne Catharine Green House where guests can observe funeral customs of the past, and the churchyard at St. Anne’s Church. We’ll wrap up our tour with a tipple of Printer’s Punch downstairs at Reynolds Tavern’s 1747 Pub as we toast this extraordinary woman!

Admission includes (1) alcoholic “Printer’s Punch” beverage per person at 1747 Pub.
