Did you know that river otters live in the Chesapeake Bay? They do, and Smithsonian scientists are researching them to find out about where they are, what they eat, and how they fit into the Bay’s food web. For this program, we’ll learn all about river otters and their adaptations that make them well suited for the Bay, then we’ll watch some fun trail camera videos. Afterwards, we’ll examine some fish scales from their diet and play an otter game.
This event is restricted to grades 3-5.
