Engineering Explorers
Bring your young innovators to “Engineering Explorers: Hands-On STEM Adventures for Kids” for a fun-filled weekend of discovery and creativity! This two-day event is part of the MD STEM Festival. It’s designed to engage children ages 3-10 in exciting, age-appropriate science and engineering activities.
On November 2, preschoolers (ages 3-5) will enjoy interactive experiments. These experiments include Fizzy Colors, Ice Melting, and Dissolving & Mixing. They’ll learn about basic science concepts in a playful, hands-on way. Watch as their curiosity sparks with colorful bubbles, melting ice, and fun sensory experiences!
On November 3, school-aged children (ages 6-10) will dive into more advanced engineering challenges. From Building Bridges to designing Paper Airplanes, creating Water Filtration Devices, and mixing up Homemade Slime, older kids will explore the principles of structural, aerospace, environmental, and chemical engineering through engaging, hands-on experiments.
Whether your child is a little explorer or a budding innovator, this event promises an afternoon of fun, learning, and creativity. Parents and families are encouraged to join the adventure!
Engineering Explorers will take place at the Chesapeake Children’s Museum. Get your tickets for day one here and for day two here!
