Bass Traditions: Rhythmic & Harmonic Foundations of Jazz

Featuring Ed Hrybyk on upright bass, pianist Savino Palumbo, and drummer Aldo Branch, the program “Bass Traditions” will delight both jazz fans and new listeners. Ed is a seasoned performer, recording artist, bandleader, and teacher. He loves music and the history behind it. He’ll introduce the audience to jazz bass legends such as Charles Mingus, Ray Brown, and Oscar Pettiford. Questions from the audience will be welcome after the concert.

This show will take place at the Eastport-Annapolis Neck Library.
