The U.S. Naval Academy is truly Annapolis’ hometown team. Even if you or your kids are alumni of other universities, the Naval Academy is very special to our region and deserves our support.
Midshipmen do so much more than most college athletes. They have to meet very strict academic requirements, military training, and the demands of their sport—all while living far away from friends and family. Many of these athletes could have played at other universities closer to home with far fewer demands or with a larger alumni fan base but they chose to serve our country while playing a sport they love.
Many of these athletes don’t have family here to cheer them on so they need us mamas!
USNA sports range from football to basketball, softball to swimming, wrestling to water polo—and many more. Some of these games are severely under-attended and the athletes deserve to hear some cheering voices. Plus, it’s a great way to expose your children to college-level athletics.
