Easter is a special time of year with lots of family-focused traditions. It is one of those holidays that makes me want to get outside and run around with the kids! Fortunately, there are events throughout Anne Arundel County the entire family will enjoy. Easter is on Sunday, April 20. From the Easter Bunny to tasty brunch menus, here are some local ways to celebrate.
BUNNY IN THE BARNYARD
I cannot wait to go to Bunny in the Barnyard at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds! This event has something for the whole family, but it will keep the kids entertained, for sure. There are egg hunts, crafts, hayrides, and, of course, the Easter Bunny! Plus, there are always animals at the fairgrounds! Kids will love looking at goats and bunnies. KINDER FARM PARK EGG HUNT
“Asking the locals” lead me to the annual Egg Hunt at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville. Be sure to add this to your Easter plans, especially if you have little ones, The egg hunts are timed and staggered, and open to kids ages 9 and under. The Easter Bunny is also usually there for photos, and there are plenty of friendly farm animals around. The park is also open during the event. While you’re there, take a loop around the trails. EASTER BUNNY PHOTOS AT ANNAPOLIS MALL
The Easter Bunny will set up shop at the Annapolis Mall again this year. Over the years, the cute photo stations and seasonal displays have been highlights. If you want to skip the bigger events, or if outdoor farm animals aren’t your jam, this might be a good choice! Take your photo and then enjoy time with your family. EASTER BRUNCH IN ANNAPOLIS
This list wouldn’t be complete without at least a nod to something culinary. Easter brunch is always a favorite for folks, especially if you just can’t muster all the production of an at-home sit-down Easter dinner, or you’re not up for going to one of the other events. Many Annapolis restaurants come out with holiday menus throughout the year. Area favorites include: Buddy’s Crabs and Ribs and Miss Shirley’s Café, which are two popular choices that fill up fast. 2025 EASTER ART & CRAFT SHOW AND KIDS FUN FAIR
Want to get out of town? Head down to the Ocean City Convention Center for the 2025 Easter Art & Craft Show and Kids Fun Fair. Admission includes egg hunts and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny and additional activities like coloring tables, juggling lessons, and a limbo contest.
