October 28, 2026 by Ricky Hartford

It’s getting spooky this weekend! Halloween is on a Saturday this year, which means much more time for fun and frights! Spend the day trick-or-treating, showing off costumes, or getting ahead on that holiday shopping. There are some scary-good deals here for you!

  • Friday night is the night! Naptown Flea is at GameOn Bar & Arcade from 5 to 10 PM on Friday, Oct. 30. Everything is $40 and under. Plus, there’s a costume contest with a grand prize of $200!
  • 50% off Halloween items at Once Upon a Child, Gambrills. Get some last-minute frightful fits (or grab some in next year’s sizes). Ends 10/31.
  • And check out the New Baby Club at Once Upon a Child, Glen Burnie. They offer monthly specials, including October’s deal on 0-18 month shorts at 5 for $5.
  • Win a Rifle Paper Co. Halloween mug from Blue Hydrangea Boutique, Severna Park. Head to their Instagram for info on how to enter. The winner will be announced tomorrow.
  • And with Halloween on its way out, the winter holidays are up next! Gift bags for the first 20 customers at Makers of Maryland’s holiday market, Annapolis Town Center. On Sunday, Nov. 1, start (and maybe even finish) your holiday shopping. Doors open at 11 AM.

About Ricky Hartford

Ricky Hartford is fueled by cold brew, Celtics highlights, pop culture, and a perfectly placed Oxford comma. By day, he works in marketing and communications at Anne Arundel Community College, where he helps shape the college’s voice through content and storytelling. With over a decade of experience and a Master of Science in Strategic Communications, he’s helped nonprofits and local publications sound sharper, look better, and connect more clearly with their audiences. When he’s not working, he’s probably at the movies, on the basketball court, planning his next vacation, or convincing someone (anyone) to talk about the latest trashy reality show. Annapolis is his happy place, especially if it involves a drink downtown and hanging out by the water.
