The mocktail scene has really caught on in recent years. They’re not just for pregnant people anymore, either. Anyone can choose to have a good time without the high alcohol content. These Annapolis-area bars and restaurants are ready to serve you—and you can’t get cut off! On our list, you’ll find drinks with imitation alcohols that taste like the real thing, and drinks that offer complex layers of flavor to surprise and delight.
You can have that classy, delicious drink that doesn’t make you feel like you’re ordering off the kids’ menu. Whether you avoid alcohol all the time, only for Dry January, or just for the night (thank you, designated drivers!), these drinks are for you.
Rams Head Tavern
Next to Rams Head On Stage, the Tavern has plenty of satisfying food including burgers, loaded salads, and tacos. Their mocktails are satisfying, too! The Blackberry Nojito has lime, mint, muddled blackberries, simple syrup, and club soda, for a tart and fragrant concoction. The Lemon Grape Spritzer uses lemonade and grape juice with a carbonated kick. And if you love a good crush, their Key Lime No-Crush keeps it simple with pineapple and key lime juice, plus cream of coconut.

Their Mucho Passion is a refreshing mix of tart and smooth, with passion fruit juice, coconut cream, and lime. Have a non-boozy brunch with their tres leches French toast. Or order one of their drinks to cool off your order of spicy guac and steaming fajitas.

And if you’re the competitive type, you might want to keep a level head and a steady hand. Order one of their sweet mocktails such as a Baby Butterbeer, a Crush Bandicoot, or a Pink Panther along with a glizzy (that’s a hot dog, to the uninitiated) or some pizza.

If you like spice, their Asleep in the Desert has a bit of jalapeño. And their Liquid Sunshine includes passion fruit juice, orange juice, grapefruit juice, and hibiscus orange blossom syrup for some sweet “liquid courage” to get you on the dance floor, without the ABV.

Send It To Darrell is made with Poderi non-alcoholic sparkling rosé, juniper simple syrup, and lemon. Their Neon Mars drink is a refreshing mix of pineapple, cranberry, Luxardo grenadine, and Sprite. If neither of those works, you can get a non-alcoholic IPA or pilsner from Untitled Art to have with your Leo smash burger or mushroom ragout.

Cooper’s Hawk
At this winery’s Annapolis Town Center location, you don’t have to partake in one of their fabulous wine flights. Enjoy their very own non-alcoholic Bubbly Blanc Vivanté, made with unfermented grape juice, citrus, and teas so you can toast along with everyone else at the table. And their mocktails include Passion & Spice, with pineapple, passion fruit, lime, and soda water with jalapeño and a Tajín rim for a kick. Their drink The Spa also includes lime, jalapeño, and soda water, but adds cucumber and mint for a bit of self-care. Night Lite will wake you right up with Seedlip Spice 94 Non-Alcoholic Spirit, cold brew coffee, black sugar syrup, vanilla, and half-and-half.
