It’s getting warmer outside, but rainy days are becoming more common. While children might love to play in the rain, sometimes we grown ups need to pivot to something indoors. Here are some of our top picks to do with your family when it is raining.

DodgeArrows, Millersville

This is fun for all ages and conveniently located in Millersville. Family fun or just the kids, this is a must-do activity this summer! Who wouldn’t want to shoot arrows at their friends? No need to worry about safety, these arrows are soft-tipped.

Hyperkidz, Crofton

Indoor play places are awesome. You pay for a certain block of time (an hour can be plenty) and off the kids go! Everyone is contained, and the staff take cleaning breaks to sanitize the equipment.

Play Street Museum, Severna Park

Though Play Street Museum is geared toward toddlers and early education, it can be fun for all ages. Imagination comes to life in different scenarios around the interactive space with miniature stores and vehicles. You can also add slime to enhance the experience for the science lovers.

Library, Riviera Beach

This library branch is only a couple years old! They have a wonderful space and helpful staff. Check their website for activities that include storytime. And, if the sun starts to shine while you’re there waiting out the storm, you are super close to several fun parks such as Downs Park, Fort Smallwood Park, and Lake Waterford!

Bowling

It has been around forever, but children still love it. Annapolis Bowl is Maryland’s favorite bowling alley and family fun center.

Ice skating, Odenton

Ice skating isn’t just for winter! Venture out to Odenton and visit the Piney Orchard Ice Rink.

Dine out
