This year, the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County has teamed up with AND Creative Studios, Chesapeake Arts Center, and Arts Lab of South County to create a month-long celebration of art called Anne Arundel Arts Month. This festival brings the community together around a broad and diverse local arts scene. During June, we invite all to engage and interact with the arts through elevated community-led events. Performances, workshops, exhibits, and more will showcase the importance of a thriving arts community. With something for everyone, this month-long, county-wide festival is a great way to learn about the arts, meet new people, and have fun! The arts bring joy, build community, and generate economic value for our county and state.
Anne Arundel County is home to a diverse and vibrant arts community. There are over 100 local arts organizations that bring cultural opportunities to everyone. We have performing arts groups including theaters, dance companies, symphonies, and choral groups. Our strong and vibrant visual arts scene is evident in our many galleries, studios, and museums.
The festival begins in Annapolis, June 1-7 with a variety of events including The Arts Hub Opening at Lightbox Studios, Paint Annapolis, First Sunday Arts Festival, Annapolis Gallery Day and Art on the Avenue. The festival continues in counties throughout the month in South County, June 8-14, and finally in North County, June 15-21.
