Looking for something fun to do with the family? Make sure to mark your calendars for the 2023 Strawberry Festival in Cape St. Claire. For over 60 years, this age-old event seems to become more and more popular each year. This family-friendly event is a day filled with a parade, music (7 Bands), games, crafters, a petting zoo, K-9 demos, a silent auction, moon bounces, an obstacle course, face painting, decorated bikes, a coloring contest, dunk booth, Soak-a-Scout, sand art, martial arts demo, dance demo and games. There is no shortage of food for everyone to find something they like, including pizza, pit beef, hamburgers, hot dogs, snowballs and smoothies. And of course a little something for the adults – THE BEER GARDEN!
There will also be all kinds of competitions for the Berriest Baby, the Strawberry Princess, and of course strawberry contests in many of its delicious forms: Strawberry Baked Goods Contest, Strawberry Jam/Jelly Contest, and more!
Set against the Chesapeake Bay, this location is perfect for children of all ages. Check out spectacular views while your family enjoys the Festival.
Admission to the Festival is FREE! You don’t have to live in the Cape to join. It’s open to anyone who wants to come to have a great day with friends and family. Many of the activities are free, but some do require the purchase of tickets. Tickets are $1 a piece and can be bought at the festival. Bonus! You can feel great about spending on strawberry delights because all proceeds benefit local charities and community groups.
