- New Fast Food Chicken Joint Alert! Slim Chickens is now open in Gambrills across the street from Raising Canes! Slim Chickens’ mission is to make the best hand-breaded chicken tenders using only the freshest ingredients, served in a friendly atmosphere where people can relax and feel at home. Their tenders serve as the building block for their entire menu and are 100% all-natural with a southern-style buttermilk marinade and lightly breaded by hand. Menu items range from tenders, wings, and sandwiches to mac bowls, wraps, salads, chicken and waffles, and sweets. Have a little one or several mouths to feed? Their menu also features kid’s meals and family meals that feed many. My favorite things about Slims Chickens are their garlic Texas Toast and tons of sauces like white gravy! Don’t forget about dessert; try their Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shake and Chocolate Brownie Pudding Jar.
- P.S. Become a “Slimthusiast!” If you join their rewards program, you’ll get a free Cayenne ranch chicken sandwich and a free jar dessert for your birthday.
- Cue the fanfare music! ALDI is finally open in The Shoppes at Riva across from the Annapolis Town Center! ALDI is a German multinational, family-owned discount supermarket chain founded over 40 years ago. They have a simple guiding principle: great quality should come with everyday low prices. ALDI also offers a variety of groceries to fit specific dietary interests, needs, or concerns. From organic certified gluten-free products to meat products that contain no antibiotics, added hormones, or animal byproducts, ALDI strives to offer food that fits everyone’s lifestyle. In a bind for a quick and easy meal? They offer meal kits like a pot roast kit that comes with ready-to-cook pork roast, red potatoes, carrots, yellow onions, celery, and a seasoning packet for $8.99; and 16” take-and-bake pizzas around $7 depending on the variety. The holidays are around the corner so don’t sleep on their charcuterie offerings!
- P.S. ALDI offers a Twice as Nice Guarantee Return Policy. This means if a customer is not satisfied with a product, ALDI will replace it AND refund the purchase price.
