Local Food Finds

March 26, 2024 by Sarah Amyot

March Madness, Spring Goodies, A Family-Friendly Breakfast Spot, Seafood Happy Hour

Your weekly dose of some cool food and dining finds around town!

Have a suggestion? We’d love to hear from you – submit it HERE!

  • How’s your March Madness bracket looking? Here are ten restaurants that are guaranteed to have the games on so you can watch your bracket win or bust:
    • Annapolis Smokehouse and Tavern
    • Broadneck Grill and Cantina
    • Buffalo Wild Wings
    • Dark Horse Annapolis
    • Glory Days Grill (they have a speaker box you can bring to your table!)
    • Heroes Pub
    • West End Sports Bar & Grill
    • Miller’s Ale House
    • O’Loughlin’s Restaurant
    • Stan and Joe’s Saloon
  • Little bunny foo foo will be officially hopping through this weekend! Swing by the Pennsylvania Dutch Farmer’s Market in Annapolis to fill those baskets with delicious goodies, like chocolate bunnies of all different flavors and sizes (yes, they even have solid chocolate bunnies!), Peeps on a stick, and the infamous freeze-dried candies. If you’re hosting or going to a party and don’t feel like baking, they have Spring-decorated cupcakes and my favorite, whoopie pies.
    • Holiday Hours:
      • Wednesday, March 27 | 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
      • Thursday, March 28 | 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
      • Friday, March 29 | Closed
      • Saturday, March 30 | 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
      • Sunday, March 31 | Closed
  • On the hunt for a family-friendly breakfast spot? Look no further – Garry’s Grill in Severna Park has served its customers for over 33 years and is the perfect spot to take the family. Garry’s has an extensive, affordable kid’s breakfast menu, like Sophia’s Big Breakfast (1 egg, 1 pancake or French toast, hash browns, 1 bacon, 1 sausage, and a drink [milk, water, or soda]) for $5.99. For the adults, favorites include shrimp and grits, fried green tomato eggs benedict, and berry French toast (Cap’n Crunch coated French Toast fried crispy and served with a house-made mixed berry sauce). Don’t hesitate to order Garry’s Famous Spiced Hot Tea (also comes iced) – it is the most delicious cup of tea, full of flavor and love. Oh, and I forgot to mention…they have five Bloody Marys on the menu too!
    • P.S. Order the pumpkin muffins.
  • #ItsPizzaPizzaDay on Mondays at Little Italy off Forest Drive in Annapolis. Carry out a large cheese pizza for only $9.99!
  • HHH (Happy Hour Highlight)! Ball on a budget at Carrol’s Creek’s happy hour, featuring tons of seafood options between $10-15, like their sea scallops (a house favorite), crab dip, Maryland crab guacamole, crabcake, baked “Carrol’s Creek” oysters, ahi tuna tartare stack, and coconut shrimp. Happy hours are Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Friday from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.
