Last-Minute Valentine’s Day Dinner Plans

February 12, 2026 by Ricky Hartford

You waited until today to make Valentine’s Day dinner plans.

First of all: breathe

Second of all: you’re not alone.

If OpenTable has been personally attacking you with that “No availability” message, we’ve got good news. As of Thursday, Feb. 12, there’s still some spots in the Annapolis area that have availability. Some have just a few reservation slots left. There’s one with lunch availability. Then there are others who are first come, first served.

Translation: You still have a chance.

Reserve Your Date Night

Federal House Bar & Grille

Brick walls. Cozy vibe. Solid date energy. Choose two appetizers, two entrees, and a dessert to share for $89. Add a bottle of wine for $20. You can absolutely pretend this was your plan the whole time. But move fast. Email jeremy@federalhouse.com or call 410-268-2576 to make a reservation.

Julep Kitchen and Bar

Love at first bite! Enjoy southern comfort food with delicious cocktails. They have been promoting Valentine’s Day specials all week like their seafood pot pie, filet medallions, Dubai chocolate surprise, and more. Reserve your slot ASAP!

Pearl Restaurant

This spot is chic, colorful, and stylish. You’ll taste some of downtown’s best cocktails with unique dishes you can share or have all to yourself. They have options available if you want an early or late dinner. Reserve your slot now!

Red Red Wine Bar

I was as shocked as you are to see this gem still available. It’s dim lighting and intimate space screams, “I planned this the whole time!” Make your reservation now!

Flexible and Walk In Friendly

Dry 85

First come, first served. Show up early, grab a whiskey, and enjoy the speakeasy vibes. The gourmet comfort food is solid, the atmosphere is cool, the drinks are flowing, and there is no reservation panic involved.

Fisherman’s Inn

Yes, it is over the bridge. It is also accepting walk ins. They have a list of specials available for Valentine’s weekend. Eastern Shore ambiance can quickly turn this into a very strong recovery plan.

Lover’s Lunch

Rams Head Tavern

Dinner is booked, but lunch is available. And honestly, a Valentine’s lunch date is underrated. It is relaxed, less crowded, and you can be in bed by 9. Go see a movie after, grab some cheeseburgers from a drive-thru for dinner, and you just had a perfect, low-key date. Reserve your lunch now!

Want to Be Different?

49 West Coffeehouse, Winebar & Gallery

They are hosting a Valentine’s Day Tribute to Chet Baker with the Unified Jazz Ensemble featuring Tim Stanley on trumpet and vocals. Dinner and live jazz. That does not say “I forgot.” That says “I curated an experience.” Call to make your reservation at 410-626-9796.

Final Pro Tip

If everything fills up after you read this, do not spiral.

Go to local Facebook groups like Annapolis Moms or Annapolis Takeout and post:

“Looking for a Valentine’s dinner reservation for two. Will happily take a cancellation off your hands.”

You would be shocked how many people booked weeks ago and now have a sick kid or simply changed plans. They will gladly hand you their 7:30 p.m. Osteria or Blackwall reservation like it is a golden ticket.

It is basically Valentine’s Date Roulette.

You spin the wheel. You see what shows up.

About Ricky Hartford

Ricky Hartford is fueled by cold brew, Celtics highlights, pop culture, and a perfectly placed Oxford comma. By day, he works in marketing and communications at Anne Arundel Community College, where he helps shape the college’s voice through content and storytelling. With over a decade of experience and a Master of Science in Strategic Communications, he’s helped nonprofits and local publications sound sharper, look better, and connect more clearly with their audiences. When he’s not working, he’s probably at the movies, on the basketball court, planning his next vacation, or convincing someone (anyone) to talk about the latest trashy reality show. Annapolis is his happy place, especially if it involves a drink downtown and hanging out by the water.
