Fall in Maryland is a-MAZE-ing! It’s prime time for one of the season’s most beloved traditions: corn mazes! These giant puzzles formed in fields of towering stalks turn ordinary farms into playgrounds for kids, couples, and anyone up for a little challenge. Whether you’re racing to the finish or just trying not to get too lost, corn mazes are the perfect way to soak up the autumn vibes.
Maryland hosts several corn mazes both in and around Anne Arundel County. So grab your flannel, lace up your comfy shoes, and get ready to turn left, then right, then left again… and maybe argue a little over who’s really the best navigator in the family.
Beachmont Corn Maze
Between Baltimore and Harford counties lies a fall gem: the Beachmont Corn Maze. This year’s Brick World theme stretches across 6 acres with more than 2 miles of paths. Think of it as a Lego-lover’s dream, but made of corn instead of plastic bricks. The best part? Admission includes a ton of extra activities like an “Extreme” hayride, inflatable obstacle course, mountain slides, rubber ducky races, football throw, cornhole, and even bonfires to cozy up by when the sun goes down. Open Friday evenings and all day Saturday, it’s a full day (or night) of fall fun that goes way beyond just the maze. Tickets are about $18, and the memories? Totally priceless.

Councell Farms
Looking for a trip over the Bay Bridge on the Eastern Shore? This is just the spot for you! A community staple that has been selling farm fresh fruits and vegetables directly to the public since 1981, this farm takes in all the fall vibes at its Field of Fun. With an admissions fee of $6 per person, you can experience 20+ farm related activities, including a jumping pillow, pumpkin picking, a combine slide and more. Their corn maze will keep you guessing on where to turn. Once you find your way out, you’ll want to end your trip with a sweet treat at the creamery. Serving up 16 daily, rotating flavors of Vanderwene’s Ice Cream, it’s the perfect pairing to a family outing.
Montpelier Farms
Upper Marlboro is home to this fall oasis, featuring a massive 7-acre corn maze, animals, playgrounds, and more. Montpelier Farms takes corn mazes to the next level with not one but two ways to get lost! The massive 7-acre maze changes theme each year, and this fall’s theme is “Once Upon a Time,” a fairy-tale adventure waiting to unfold. Want even more adventure? Stick around after sunset for the Flashlight Maze (no spooks, just good old-fashioned fun). Little ones can join in too with the Spookley the Square Pumpkin Maze, where storyboards guide families through a kid-sized journey.
Tickets range from $16 to $35 in price. We all know the appetite is bound to work up- fortunately there are plenty of food options too! The farm market and donut shop has loads of produce and homemade goods, with the Alpacafe serving up ready-to-eat food. There will also be fall favorites such as kettle corn, apple cider donuts, soft pretzels, funnel cakes, cotton candy, and more.
Summers Farm
This Frederick County staple has been around for over 29 years. With over 45 attractions and activities, it’s the perfect fall family outing. Everyone can find something to enjoy, whether it’s pig races, pumpkin patches, enormous slides, or warm campfires. Paying homage to the Washington Capital’s great, this 6-acre corn maze honors Alex Ovechkin and his record-breaking 895 career goals. The maze features Ovi’s iconic jersey and milestone number carved into the fields, plus Capitals-themed trivia to guide your way! A portion of proceeds benefits THE GR8 CHASE for Victory Over Cancer®, supporting pediatric cancer research with Ovechkin, the Capitals, Hockey Fights Cancer™, and the V Foundation.
Every visit helps make a difference. Tickets range from $15.95 to $23.95, with options to buy online or at the gate. All children under the age of 2 are free! Along with various other activities such as a zipline, farm games and slides, there will be fireworks showings on four select nights in October.
The Maryland Corn Maze
Just minutes from Annapolis, the Maryland Corn Maze is a fall classic and this year’s theme is nothing short of Wicked. That’s right! The famous Land of Oz, and the popular Broadway show and film, have generated the inspiration for this year’s Wicked theme. Make sure to bring your phone along, as there will be posts and QR codes, creating a fun game down the yellow corn road. Looking for an extra challenge? Bring a flashlight and test your navigational skills on any one of the flashlight nights, taking place from 7 p.m to 9:30 p.m. No flying monkeys around, just some good fun!
There’s plenty more to do aside from the maze, from petting zoo animals and hay pyramids to corn pits, a dump truck slide, and plenty of food options. Tickets can be purchased online, with a $2 discount for online purchases. Open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on most weekends and 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on select weekdays, admission price remains at $17.95 (online), or $19.95 (in person).
Bonus Road Trip: Maize Quest Fun Park
If you’re up for a little adventure beyond Maryland, Maize Quest in New Park, Pennsylvania, is totally worth the drive. This year’s theme is the “Search for the Loch Ness Monster.” So get ready to GET LOST in the stalks of their sprawling 8-acre corn maze while you hunt for clues about Nessie. And here’s the best part: the fun doesn’t stop with just one maze. You’ll find fence mazes, rope mazes, tile mazes, turf mazes, puzzle mazes, and even an obstacle course maze. It’s a maze-lover’s paradise! Add in jumping pillows, mega slide, trackless trains, and more than 30 attractions overall, and you’ve got yourself the ultimate fall day trip. Pack the car snacks and make it a corn-y road trip to remember.
There’s no shortage of places to get lost this fall. Corn mazes aren’t just about finding your way out, but they’re about making memories, laughing at wrong turns, and grabbing a seasonal snack or two. Head out to one of these awesome spots and get corn-fused!
