Annapolis Police are investigating a shots-fired incident near Thom Drive and Forest Hills Avenue after a man reported that someone in a vehicle pulled alongside him and began shooting. The victim ran from the area and was not injured, and police said no suspect or vehicle had been located.

Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman’s final proposed budget totals $2.58 billion and would slightly lower the property tax rate while increasing funding for schools, public safety, sewer infrastructure, food assistance and health access. The fiscal 2027 spending plan now heads to the County Council for public hearings before a final vote in June.
