A severe thunderstorm with winds topping 60 mph damaged homes, downed trees and power lines, and caused widespread outages across Annapolis. Two families were displaced, no injuries were reported, and West Annapolis and Admiral Heights were among the hardest-hit areas.
- Davidsonville School Bus Crash Sends Students to Hospitals for Evaluation
A school bus carrying 28 Davidsonville Elementary students was struck by a car on Route 214. Two students were taken by ambulance to a hospital with minor injuries, nine were transported for precautionary evaluations, and 17 were released to their parents at the scene.

4. Sail250 Brings Tall Ships and International Air Show to Baltimore
Sail250 Maryland will bring more than 40 vessels, including 14 international tall ships, to Baltimore from June 24 through June 30. The free celebration also features ship tours, waterfront festivals, and an air show with the Blue Angels, Red Arrows, Patrouille de France, and F-16 Viper Demo Team.
5. Man Charged in Route 295 Road Rage Shooting
Maryland State Police charged a 21-year-old Prince George’s County man with attempted murder and related offenses after a driver was shot on northbound Route 295 near Arundel Mills Boulevard. Police said dashcam video helped investigators locate the suspected vehicle and recover a loaded firearm.
