A 51-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a transit bus at Ritchie Highway and Holsum Way in Glen Burnie. Anne Arundel County Police said the motorcycle struck the bus while traveling at a high rate of speed, and the crash remains under investigation.

Annapolis reached a major public safety milestone after recording more than one full year without a homicide. As of July 20, the city had gone 379 days without another homicide, reflecting continued work by police, residents, community groups and violence-prevention programs.
