A 23-year-old Edgewater man died after a single-vehicle crash early February 20 on Solomons Island Road near Poplar Point Road, according to Anne Arundel County Police. Investigators said the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek was traveling south when it left the roadway, entered the median, and struck a tree. The driver, identified as Brian Yetter, was taken to a hospital, where he later died, and the Crash Investigation Team is continuing to investigate.

Officers located a suspect nearby and took him into custody, while detectives continue to investigate.

A vehicle struck 3 pedestrians on Compromise Street in Annapolis in the afternoon on February 2. An Annapolis Fire Department spokesperson said 2 women — a mother in her 50s and her adult daughter in her early 30s — were treated and transported to a local trauma center in stable condition, while a 3rd female patient was evaluated at the scene and declined transport. The driver was not injured. The Annapolis Police Department had a slightly different version, saying that there were four injured, including a male and a female who declined treatment at the scene. They also said the car left the roadway and drove onto the sidewalk.
