Gilbert Clark Jr. after less than a year in the role, citing a loss of confidence in his ability to lead the Brigade of Midshipmen. Superintendent Lt. Gen. Michael Borgschulte made the decision, and Deputy Commandant Capt. Austin Jackson has stepped in as interim commandant while the Navy searches for a permanent replacement.

Investigators determined the incident involved an altercation between two people who knew each other, with no injuries reported, but officers maintained an increased presence at the mall while the case is reviewed.

The Annapolis Holiday Market returns in December with an expanded two-weekend schedule and a new location on the front lawn of St. John’s College, just steps from downtown Annapolis shops and restaurants. Shoppers can enjoy free admission, easy access to nearby garages with free evening and weekend parking, about 100 artisan vendors, holiday food and drinks, Santa visits, and photo-friendly festive displays.
- Glen Burnie Woman Arrested in Connection with Washington County Murder-Arson
Maryland State Police charged a 35-year-old woman from Glen Burnie as an accessory after the fact in a triple murder and house fire in Clear Spring, where three residents were found dead in a home on National Pike. Three additional suspects from Baltimore and Hagerstown face murder, arson, robbery, gun, and narcotics charges, as investigators say the deadly attack was not random and continue a multi-agency homicide and arson investigation while asking the public for tips.
- Navy Upsets Memphis and Improves to 9-2
Navy football improved to 9–2 and 7–1 in the American Athletic Conference with a 28–17 road win over Memphis, powered by 103 rushing yards and two touchdowns from fullback Alex Tecza and a second-half defensive shutout. The Midshipmen dominated time of possession, holding Memphis under 20 points for the first time in 52 games. Unfortunately, with a North Texas and Tulane win over the weekend, they were eliminated from the AAC Championship Game. Up next, Army on December 13th!
