Valentine’s 5K at Kinder Farm Park

Originally known as the Valentine’s Twosome Relay, this race was merged with the Washington’s Birthday 5k to become the Valentine’s 5K. It is the first race of the Annapolis Striders Championship Series for the calendar year and is typically held the second weekend of February at Kinder Farm Park.
Entry fee is $15. Annapolis Striders members will receive a club discount at checkout making the entry fee only $10.00. If you would like to become a member, click HERE. If the race is not sold out, race day registration will be $25.00 for everyone.
Open to ages 8 – 100.
Workers Run
Workers runs are provided as a way for club members to both volunteer and maintain their Championship Series or club Ironman standing. Consult the Championship Series rules for details or the race director and Championship Series Coordinator with questions.
Packet Pickup
Packet pick up and race day registration (if not sold out): 8:15 to 9:45 AM.
Course
Mostly flat course with 2 gentle rolling hills around Kinder Farm Park.
Runners start at the fire hydrant near the Jaycee’s house and heading UP towards the trail that wraps around the soccer/baseball fields. Runners bear left on the Perimeter Trail, follow the trail to the main entrance road and then take a right on the path that leads to the trail. The turn around is before the fence at the intersection of Greenbriar trail. Follow the trail and mile markers to the finish line.
Water Stations
There will be NO hydration tables on the trail, only at the START and FINISH line. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN HYDRATION DEVICES.
Timing
Timing by MD Timing. Results will be posted to MD Timing, annapolisstriders.org, and on this site.
Race Rules
No headphone, strollers, rollerblades or pets. This is to ensure the safety of all participants. Violators will be asked to vacate the course.
Follow direction of race monitors.
Runners, the trail is open to walkers, bikers and pets. Stay to the right on the trail.
All decisions of the race director are final.
