The Mic Masters Stand-Up Comedy Competition is here!
Judging:
Crowd vote: Each member of the crowd will have a list of the comedians and will be able to rate each of them 1-5 (1 = bad, 5 = Best). Along with 3-5 judges (pending on the round), using a technical score card, with categories such as:
- Laughs/Pops
- Delivery
- Stage presence
- Originality
- Etc.
Point deductions for running the light, turning on the crowd, and upsetting me or any of the staff (only half joking with this last one), etc.
The comedian with the most points at the end of the night wins $50, bragging rights for one week, and a crisp high-five from yours truly.
Tickets for the qualifying rounds will be $10.
Ticket price will increase as the competition moves on but won’t exceed $20.
Prize money will also increase as the competition moves on.
