In her playwriting debut, Everyman Theatre Resident Company actor Katie Kleiger presents a fresh take on what it means to confront one’s past and redefine personal happiness. When a late-night call arrives from an ex, Ava’s world is thrust into emotional turmoil. As Ava attempts to regain control and confront the ghosts of her past, she meets Eleanor, a middle-aged doctor facing a midlife crisis and living a life of unfulfilled dreams. Ava and Eleanor’s lives become inexorably intertwined as they grapple with blame, forgiveness, and what types of happiness they allow themselves to feel.
