Sanborn Map Workshop
February 12 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Free – $15

Historians, preservationists, and planners often turn to a resource that was never meant to have such lasting value: Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps. They were created from the 1850s through the 1950s to support fire insurance underwriting. These detailed maps have become indispensable for tracing changes to buildings and understanding how cities and towns evolved over time.
Rachel Robinson, HA’s Vice President of Preservation, will provide an introduction and lead a hands-on tutorial on using Sanborn maps.
Register here! This event will take place at the William Paca House & Garden.
