Opera AACC Presents “Considering Matthew Shepard”

Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) Concert Choir, AACC Chamber Singers, the Arundel Vocal Arts Society, and guest artists present composer Craig Hella Johnson’s fusion oratorio “Considering Matthew Shepard“, on May 17 and 19, at AACC Robert E. Kauffman Theater.

STRESS WARNING: Considering Matthew Shepard is a musical depiction of the actual events surrounding Matthew’s murder and therefore includes images, videos, and props that reference extreme violence, death, hate, and trauma connected to queerphobia. Some audience members may find this content disturbing. Anne Arundel Community College, as part of our core mission, believes that in acknowledging the existence of violence and hate we can better resist it, promote healing, and lift up the deep worth of every human being.
AACC is providing a talk-balk after each performance. One-act performance; 90 minutes, no intermission.
