Join us at the Museum of Historic Annapolis for a special program and discover the story behind Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse: A Chesapeake Bay Icon, the first and only book dedicated to the 1875 lighthouse.
Join Annapolis sailor and author David Gendell as he unpacks the story of the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse, the iconic 1875 screwpile-style lighthouse, located in the Chesapeake Bay at Annapolis.
Gendell’s presentation will include images, charts, stories, and history related to Thomas Point, earlier iterations of the lighthouse, the current structure, and its noteworthy keepers. Afterwards, the author will be available for a Q&A session and a book signing.
