About Mark

Navigating the intricate tapestry of military life, the laid-back vibes of Southern California, and the poignant emotional depths of loss, Mark Shiiba immerses you in a musical journey that resonates on a profound level. His dynamic sound serves as a cathartic fusion of acoustic honesty and electric energy.

After spending 6 years in the Navy honing his songwriting craft, Mark serendipitously met Colorado based singer-songwriter Daniel Rodriguez in a backyard in San Diego while Daniel was opening for Gregory Alan Isakov and The Lumineers during their west coast Brightside tour. Daniel was so inspired by Mark’s song “Bones” that it led to Daniel producing Mark’s first full length record titled “Bones” which was released on May 24th, 2024.

Mark’s musical journey took an exciting turn when he competed on Season 26 of NBC’s The Voice. His captivating blind audition, where he performed Bob Dylan’s iconic “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right,” not only showcased his soulful delivery but also introduced him to a broader audience. This performance sparked new opportunities, and Mark has since released the song as a single, giving fans the chance to experience his powerful interpretation of Dylan’s classic. With his unique blend of storytelling and emotive vocals, Mark continues to capture hearts and carve out his space in the music world.
