Live Arts Maryland commemorates the 25th anniversary of September 11 with a free screening of Daron Hagen’s 9/10: Love Before the Fall, followed by an in-person conversation with the composer and filmmaker.
Set in New York City on the evening of September 10, 2001, the moving operafilm follows four friends through an ordinary night of dinner, conversation, memories, and plans for the future—while the audience knows what the characters cannot. Through music and film, the work becomes a powerful meditation on love, remembrance, mortality, and the lives behind a moment that changed history.
