Flatland Drive began, not as a joke, but as a serious effort to blend traditional, hard-driving bluegrass with modern stylings, on April Fool’s Day in 2009. The members of the band hail from either Caroline County, Maryland, or Kent County, Delaware, and their proximity is alarmingly close.
