FASO Brats, Beer, Blues and Bourbon
September 26 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$65To kick off the season, FASO crosses the border from France to Bavaria. The Oktoberfest in Munich is a two-week festival from September to the first Sunday in October. The first Oktoberfest was on October 12, 1810 to celebrate the marriage of crown prince Ludwig of Bavaria. It lasted for five days and grew in length with passing time. The starting dates were eventually moved to September because, with longer days and warmer weather, revelers could comfortably stay out longer in the festival grounds. This year, the 189th Munich festival will be from September 21 to October 6.
We’re kicking off this celebration with Annapolitan flair on the Grand View rooftop Sky Lounge. Savor traditional festival fares, with a Weizenbier or Riesling in hand while listening to a jazz and blues mix by Annapolis’ very own Len Mitchard Quartet. Where does bourbon fit into Oktoberfest? That’s another Annapolis vibe. Enjoy a finger, or two, of whiskey selected by FASO director Stephen Holt.
All proceeds to benefit the ASO and ASA. Prost!
Park in the South Garage on Harker Place, across from the Target garage. Go to level two in the garage, and you’ll see Tesla chargers. That’s your level. Take the center elevator to level three (elevator away from chargers). FASO representatives will be at the door to let you in. If they’re not there, push 1234 on the call button.
