Fall Organ Concert

Peter Richard Conte’s nearly unparalleled technical facility and ear have made him one of the nation’s revered “orchestral” organists. In 1989, he was appointed grand court organist of the Wanamaker Organ. This is located in the historic Wanamaker building in center city Philadelphia. He was the fourth person to hold that title since the organ first played in 1911. Mr. Conte is also principal organist of Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, PA and organist/choirmaster of St. Clement’s Church, Philadelphia, a frequent collaborator and soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra and Philly Pops.
