Dom Flemons is known as “The American Songster®” since his repertoire covers over one hundred years of American roots music. Flemons is a folk musician, black country artist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, music scholar, slam poet, and the creator of the American Songster Radio Show.
It’s no secret that great art comes from the margins. Los Angeles-based street singer, guitarist, and roots music revolutionary Sunny War has always been an outsider. Her restless spirit, a byproduct of growing up semi-nomadic with a single mother, led her to Venice Beach, California, where she’s making a name for her prodigious guitar work and incisive songwriting. This touches on everything from police violence to alcoholism to love found and lost.
