Coppélia
April 23, 2027 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Originally staged in 1870, Coppélia follows the comedic foibles of the feisty village girl, Swanhilda. The local toymaker, Dr. Coppélius, creates a doll so true-to-life that everyone mistakes her for a real girl. This causes a stir in Swanhilda’s village. Franz, Swanhilda’s boyfriend, is particularly hoodwinked. Jealous of his attentions to this “girl with the enamel eyes,” Swanhilda sneaks into Dr. Coppélius’ workshop only to discover the truth: Franz has fallen in love with a doll!
Coppélia will be performed at Maryland Hall. Get your tickets here!
