Black History Month Celebration at the Museum of Historic Annapolis

$7 – $8Celebrate Black History Month at the Museum of Historic Annapolis! Drop in on Saturday, February 3 for special family activities to commemorate the rich cultural heritage of the African Americans who have helped shape the nation.
–Between 12 pm and 2 pm, meet a living historian portraying Dr. Faye Watson Allen. Hear stories of her experience as the first female African American doctor in Anne Arundel County and create a special craft.
–Take a scavenger hunt through the museum and learn about local Black history.
–Explore our special exhibit Summer’s Legacy and learn about the history of Carr’s, Sparrows, and Elktonia Beaches. Check out two new objects on loan from the Smithsonian Institution that will connect you to the rich history of Carr’s Beach.
–Take a break in the Anne Arundel County Library Book Nook and learn more about African American history with a curated selection of children’s books.
Cost: $7 General Admission (8+) ; FREE for Children 7 and under, HA Members, and SNAP/WIC through the Museums for All program
