Art Inspired by Music
November 16 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
FreeDon’t miss Art Inspired by Music, a workshop at ArtFarm! Music can take our imagination to places we never thought.
In 1874, Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky composed a piano suite in 10 movements. He did this after being inspired by Russian painter Viktor Hartmann’s works.
We are now taking this concept and reversing the idea—we will listen to the music and let it inspire us to create something unique and beautiful.
In January of 2025, the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra will perform this piece, “Pictures at an Exhibition”, and the artworks created by our students will be projected behind the ASO during their live performance at Maryland Hall.
The works will also travel around Anne Arundel County and be on public display leading up to the performance.
